More than 7 years of experience in the field of acting and puppeteering. I have acted and have been involved in the creation , content writing, characterization, direction, post production of the show ‘Galli Galli Sim Sim’ which is an Indian adaptation of the world famous ‘Sesame Street’

Qualifications

1.       Trained in television puppetry by Emmy Award Winner, Martin P. Robinson

2.       Graduate in BA History (honors) from Sri Venkateswara College, Delhi University (2006).

·         Produced a Puppet Show for AajTak (TV Today Network) on the 2011 Cricket World Cup ‘Funda Matlab Piddu Bola’. Currently have a partnership firm called ‘J&S Entertainments’ and working on the Project AAT (All About Tuppets) in the conflict areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

• I have done various radio Spots with Radio City and Radio Mirchi as ‘Chamki’ from Galli Galli Sim Sim. Also for ‘Mammy Poko Pants’, currently for an online game a Radio Show for Sesame Workshop India.

Achievements from Galli Galli Sim Sim

I worked with Miditech Pvt. Ltd. as a lead puppeteer performing as ‘Chamki’ a 5 year old school going girl for the television series titled ‘Galli Galli Sim Sim”. It is currently being broadcasted on Cartoon Network, POGO and Doordarshan. I was the brand ambassador for the show.

• As a puppeteer I have co-hosted POGO Amazing Kids Awards twice with Cyrus Sahukar and Amir Khan
• Shot a promo with Abhishek Bachchan for his movie ‘Drona’
• I have done Photo Shoots with eminent Bollywood celebrities like Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Amir Khan, and Priyanka Chopra.
• I have also had the pleasure of filming celebrity episodes with Laura Bush( Former USA First Lady), Nafisa Ali, Daler Mehndi, Sivamani, Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan, Tom Alter, Konkona Sen, Neha Dhupia, Kiran Bedi and Rahul Bose.
• I represented ‘Galli Galli Sim Sim’  at the Annual Sesame Fund Raising in New York and performed with Emmy Award Winner, Kevin Clash (Elmo) and raised $1.6 million at the gala
• As ‘Chamki’ my character was the brand ambassador for the Delhi Governments ‘Laadli’ campaign which is an anti-female infanticide campaign, and have shot numerous  TVC’s for the Ministry of Women and Child Development and Ministry of Drinking Water and for Baalwadi and Aanganwaadi
• I also performed at the World Water Day with the USA Ambassador Timothy J. Roemer.
• My job profile required me to sing also and so I have sung songs for my Character with Leading Composers like Julius Packiam, Abhishek Ray.
• I also performed alongside the Common Wealth Games(2010) Mascot ‘Shera’
• Performed at the TED Conference in Mysore (India)
• My character was featured on shows for Children’s day and Independence day on NDTV, AajTak, Headlines Today, CNN-IBN and Times Now
• I have also been a celebrity guest  for shows like ‘Save The Tiger’ Campaign, ‘Salaam Zindagi’ ,‘Fit Rahe India’ on NDTV, Live performance on ZeeTV , Launch HSBC’s Financial Literacy Kit, Children’s Day Celebrations with Kapil Dev’s NGO ‘Khushi’, Laadli Awards(2011), Mobile Technology Conference and much more

• The show was nominated for Best Edutainment and Best kids show category in the Indian Telly Awards 2010

• The episode ’Mommy Googly’ was nominated for Best Children’s Program on the Asian TV Awards 2009
• The episode ‘Galli Jugaad’ was nominated in the category of films for children at the CMS Vatavaran Awards 2009
